Hi! I’m Tom…

I am all about storytelling. I have made a career out of it since graduating from university. My background as a photojournalist and journalist has led me to a lot of different places and introduced me to a lot of different things but the desire to make a living through visual storytelling has remained a constant.

I have worked for almost every newspaper and magazine in the Central Massachusetts area and several well beyond. The often frantic nature of journalism has prepared me to photograph stories as they unfold. I live for genuine moments. Whether this is a family portrait session, wedding, or corporate event, I embrace and gravitate towards natural, candid, and documentary styles.

In addition to (and usually including) photography, my passion in life is travel. There’s a huge chance that your fee is going towards travel. I have been fortunate enough to have seen a lot of amazing places and to have done a lot of cool things- from trekking in the Himalayas to snorkeling in the Philippines. I’ve volunteered in the mountains of Greece and taught English in downtown Seoul. My travel photography and stories have appeared in newspapers, magazines, and exhibits from Guam to Worcester.

South Korea has a special place in my heart because it has become a second home to me. I went to South Korea with the intentions of spending a year there as an English teacher. I fell in love with both the local culture and life as an expat. I came back five years later- married.

I balance my love for my wife’s homemade Korean food with my love for riding my bicycle very slowly. We spend most of our time catering to our baby daughter, Eejin.
